Squibs galore
  • Squibs are sailed all over the UK and Ireland and can fairly claim to be one of the top two-person racing boats, dinghy or keel, in the country
  • Squibs were designed by Oliver Lee in 1967.  Numbers are still growing with 27 active fleets
  • Over 850 Squibs have been built
  • Squibs have the largest keelboat championship turnout in the UK (97 in 2006)
  • Squibs are sailed by people of all ages, with women well represented in the fleet
  • Squibs race as a class in regattas all over the country, including Cowes Week
  • A new Squib, including sails and trailer, is under £16,000 and club boats can be picked up for under £3,000
